This little manual is very informative.  It gives all the codes for motorcycles, outboard motors, multi-purpose engines, karts, generators and snowmobiles which were manufactured up to 1978.  These codes may fit numerous other years.  

Exemple:  If the OEM part number of your yamaha part is 123-549-12345, you would look at the number 549 and it would tell you that the part fits the DT125 1975 Fr.
